Improving access to Macquarie Park

20.04.2017

The Macquarie Park precinct will get a $60 million bus priority and road infrastructure boost to improve travel times, increase public transport reliability and upgrade pedestrian safety.

Work includes building bus lanes, turning lanes, and traffic lights to replace congested roundabouts.

The infrastructure upgrade will be delivered in two stages from mid-2017 to support the temporary transport plan which will be in place through the construction of Sydney Metro Northwest.

Stage 2 includes the delivery of further road upgrades after Sydney Metro Northwest opens in 2019 to provide long term improvements to access for general traffic to, from and within the precinct.

A new Macquarie Park Access Plan to identify further transport improvements will be developed in collaboration with stakeholders and will involve community engagement.

The community can provide feedback until Friday 12 May 2017. Click here for more information.
