January School Holidays

08.01.2018

Sydney Metro's school holiday program is back in January 2018! Come join us for free hands-on activities for children 5 - 12 years.

Turn up and go craft

Build your very own skytrain bridge or Sydney Metro train model at our Community Information Centre. Every week day from 8 January to 25 January, 10am–1pm and 2pm–4pm at Shop 490, Castle Towers shopping centre, Castle Hill.

All aboard workshop

Safety is at the centre of everything we do at Sydney Metro and our first school holiday program for 2018 will engage participants in fun, hands-on and creative activities based around safety. Children will take a tour on our life-size train model, show off their artistic flair by creating safety signs and dress up and participate in role plays while considering how to stay safe when working on our construction sites.  Our All Aboard workshops promise holiday fun while learning valuable safety measures.

Ideal for school aged children between 5 and 12 years this January 2018 the workshops will be held on Tuesday 16 January and Wednesday 17 January 2018 with sessions at 10.00am and 1.30pm.

Minecraft workshops

Our Minecraft workshops are for students aged 7-12 years taking their first steps with game design and development.

Students will design and construct a 3D virtual railway station while exploring and connecting mathematical concepts, as well as choosing and applying problem-solving skills to ensure all passengers are safe and secure.

The two hour workshops are part of our FastTracking the Future school holiday program.

Sydney Metro Minecraft workshops will be held on Thursday 18 January 2018 with sessions at 9:30am, 12noon and 2:30pm. Bookings are essential.
