Virtual classroom

Free Virtual Lesson

In 2017, Sydney Metro hosted its first interactive virtual lesson to celebrate NAIDOC Week and highlight Australian Aboriginal histories and cultures. Nearly 300 students enjoyed hearing from archaeologist, Cristany Milicich, about archaeology and the stories behind some of the 13,000 Indigenous artefacts that Sydney Metro has uncovered in Sydney’s North West.

Our virtual lessons are a part of the many learning opportunities provided free to schools through Sydney Metro’s FastTracking the Future program, and like all our resources they are curriculum linked to a number of learning areas and cross curriculum priorities such as sustainability and Australian Aboriginal histories and cultures. https://www.sydneymetro.info/education

In 2018, Sydney Metro’s education program will once again invite schools to be involved in our interactive and real-world related virtual classrooms for secondary and primary schools.
