Minecraft workshop booking form

A two hour session for students aged 7 to12 years taking their first steps with game design and development.

Students will design and construct a 3D virtual railway station while exploring and connecting mathematical concepts, as well as choosing and applying problem-solving skills.

These sessions will run on Wednesdays only at 9.30am, 12.00pm and 2.30pm as part of Sydney Metro’s free January school holiday program at Sydney Festival at Barangaroo Reserve.

Students are encouraged to bring their own device. Bookings are essential.

This booking form is for Minecraft Workshop only. Sydney Metro's January school holiday activities such as All Aboard Workshop and Turn Up and Go Craft do not require a booking, just come meet us at Barangaroo Reserve.

Location

Barangaroo Reserve, Hickson Road entrance, Barangaroo NSW 2000.

Workshop Requirements

It is recommend that students bring their own laptop to use at this workshop. This is so students can save their work and continue building on their virtual station at home.

Laptop requirements include:

  • Laptop (minimum): i5 (or i3) Intel Processor, 4GB (or 2GB) RAM and either Windows 7 or OSX (or later)
  • An active Minecraft account installed on this device

A loan device with Minecraft account will be provided for students who are unable to meet the above requirements. Please note that in this instance it is not possible for students to save and take home their work.
